Denver BBS School Apprentice Team Training Sessions

To make the Apprentice advancement system more clear, the BBS Advisory Board has defined "quality of instruction" as the number of Team Training Sessions attended rather than the amount of time in the Apprentice program.

The amount of time in the Apprentice program is not equivalent to the number of Team Training Sessions.

If you miss Apprentice Team Training Sessions, you miss key elements taught throughout the week about the System, and we have to get you caught up in your training and take time out of everyone else's time to teach you something that everyone else learned in sessions before.

You cannot grow as a dancer nor instructor if you do not show up to practice with the team each and every Team Training Session.

A single "Team Training Session" is anywhere from two to five hours WITH the Apprentice team. Teaching a class is a Team Training Session, and a very big part of your Apprenticeship training. You learn when you teach. You learn how to teach and much more than the student learns in the process of teaching. When you want to learn something, teach it.

Our evening social after the group class is also a Team Training Session. When you dance with beginners at the socials, there is where you learn hands-on how to lead and follow your students and teach private lessons.

To qualify as a Senior Apprentice Trainer you must be capable of teaching both lead and follow of 1st thru 4th degree Yellow Belt. A junior Apprentice cannot do this yet.

At the Denver facility, Apprentices train 52 weeks per year, three times per week, totaling 156 Team Training Sessions per year with their Sensei or senior Apprentice trainers.

If you are a "part-time Apprentice" and miss any of the three Team Training Sessions per week, it will take you longer than one year to get all of your Team Training Sessions in.

Once you have completed 156 Team Training Sessions with your Sensei or senior Apprentice trainers, your Apprentice fee will drop to the grandfathered price.

After 312 Team Training Sessions with your Sensei or senior Apprentice trainers, your Apprentice fees are waived.

After 468 Team Training Sessions with your Sensei, or senior Apprentice trainers, and you have taken the Purple and Blue Belt Instructor Certification (BBS Franchise Qualification) course, you will be paid as a Certified professional BBS instructor.

Black Belt System - LeadershipThe most significant thing for a Leader to contribute to anyone is their own Connection and their own Stability. An effective Leader is a happy Leader. An effective Leader is a Leader who laughs easily and often; and who doesn't take things so seriously.
